Reiki Treatment
Individual Reiki Treatment is available in our office and sessions are one hour in length. Reiki is a type of holistic therapy designed to work through energy in your body to release tension, pain, anxiety, and suffering through gentle touch.
Reiki does not require touch and you remain fully clothed during the sessions though you may be lying down. You will begin by discussing treatment goals with the Reiki practitioner and work to make sure you are comfortable with the process.

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that stimulates or supports the body’s natural healing and is often used to improve relaxation, well-being, pain, stress, and anxiety. It should be noted that Reiki is a complementary therapy and does not replace traditional medical care.

In sessions you can expect to be in a dimly lit and quiet environment with relaxing music playing. In your first session you can expect your Reiki practitioner to discuss how the treatment will work along with your needs and symptoms. You may have hands gently touching you in a non-invasive way or hands hovering over you.
Some people may experience hot or cold sensations, feeling lighter, calmness, sleepiness, and visualizations of pictures or colors. Sometimes it can take more sessions to feel like it is working.
-
It is completely normal to feel like Reiki isn’t working after the first session or two. Each individual's experience varies and we encourage you to talk to your practitioner about your experience.

Reiki can involve being lightly touched in a non-invasive way in areas such as your head, neck, chest, abdomen, legs, and feet or not being physically touched with hands hovering over you.
